Lake Maloney - North Platte

We made our annual trip to Lake Maloney but we didn't get over to the other side to fish this year. The lake was up and the canal had a pretty good flow.

We made our annual trip to North Platte for the Nebraskaland Days Rodeo and to do some camping and fishing at Lake Maloney. It was pretty dry out there and many of the ranchers were hoping for rain - and it came. Saturday was a very rainy day, in fact, we had to pack up all of our camping gear in the morning because some of it was wet. But we decided to just hang around anyway and do some fishing. This time we went to the inlet side (northwest) of the lake. Some people were having pretty good luck catching catfish.
